Personalized Asks
A Personalized Ask reaches specific people with questions tailored to each of them — warmer than a broad survey, and far more likely to get a thoughtful reply.
How it's different from a broad survey
You pick people and a relationship reason (a win-back, a follow-up, a renewal check-in, recent feedback). UpSight then drafts a short set of questions for each person, anchored in what you already know about them. You review and send.
Choose one or more people, then a relationship template. The template sets a warm goal and the landing greeting recipients see before they start.
Questions are drafted per person from their profile, attributes, and any starred evidence — so two people in the same ask can get different questions.
One intro video per ask — everyone you selected sees the same one.
The intro is recorded at the campaign level, so it plays on every recipient's landing page before the questions. It is not per person.
Want a different intro for each person? Create a separate Personalized Ask for each one and record a video in each. A quick, genuine hello reliably lifts response rates.
Each recipient can answer in one of three ways, and switch between them at any time:
- Form — a clean, one-question-at-a-time form.
- Chat — an AI interviewer that asks the questions in a typed conversation and can gently follow up.
- Voice — the same interviewer, but respondents can tap the mic and speak their answers instead of typing.
Before sending, review each person's questions. You can edit any question inline, so the draft is a starting point you shape — not a rubber stamp.
Send when you're happy. Each person gets their own private link tied to their tailored questions.
